The Pivot Plan is for the person who wants more from their career.

I spent 5 years in Data Engineering at Meta, eventually growing into a Data Engineering Manager. But I wanted more. I loved using data to influence product decisions, but deep down, I knew I was a strategist and a storyteller at heart. I wanted to build products, not data pipelines.

When I told people I wanted to move into Product Management, almost everyone doubted me. 

My manager told me not to do it: You’re already a woman in tech, defying the odds. Why risk that to become one of many?

Others said I’d have to take a pay cut, start over, or only focus on backend data products.

But what truly excited me was using data to create real customer impact. 

Over time, I learned how to own my story, and communicate it in a way that resonated with people who could open doors. I searched for the right job, not just any job. I stopped settling. 

After years of starts and stops, I landed my dream role as a Senior Product Manager at Hopper. From there, I kept growing, eventually becoming Head of Product for my group.

Now, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned: from how to get hired for the role you actually want, tell your story with confidence, and thrive once you’re there. 

I’m doing this not because I have to, but because I genuinely want to help. I know how hard it is to pivot into a higher impact role.

  • You get out what you put in! Budget 60 minutes per week for the weekly live calls, and around 30 minutes per day for the roadmap tasks and homework.

    Everything is designed to be simple, doable, and momentum building even when you’re already working a full-time job.
